Navigation Design

The navigation for this site is very interesting, and takes a while to understand just how it works. But what makes it very fun, to go along with the feel of the movie, is it has 80's flare mixed with a very dynamic effect. When a category is rolled over, all of the categories under that move down. This makes the page feel child like, or cartoon like. Yet, it still works mechanically without any problems.

Still moving along with the theme of 80's and a very child like effect, the gallery for this site is very unique. They use the image discs which come with viewmasters to lay out the thumbnail images. Even the full size photos have a hand drawn drop shadow to give an adolescent touch.

Design Consistency

The main payout of this site is that everything is very informal, or laid out by a young boy. Here, we see two different pages within the site. Everything is supposed to look like it is laid down or taped down to the page. Instead of straight up photos, they look like polaroid photos at angles. Titles look hand written. Some of the text looks likes it was created with a labelmaker. On many pages, there is even a pencil laying around somewhere. Even though the diagram changes from one page to the next, the theme and look is the same. One consistency that you will also find on each page is an action sketch of some sort. On the pages shown to the left here, you see the son of Rambo holding a gun, and in the next, swing from a rope.
